EMR has been on the air since the 1970s. Here you can download
studio recordings of some of our programmes from over the years.
Please note, all of these files are encoded as mono MP3 files. You will need a player such as
Winamp, which you can download for free
here.
Other MP3 players will work, including Windows media player, or XMMS if

AJ Beirens
was famous for his North Sea Goes DX shows on RNI. He took the
programme format to EMR in the late 1970's, and here is one of his
"storm special" shows, featuring the truth about some
famous offshore radio myths! Why is it called a storm special? For
the answer, just listen |

The late Roger Tate (Bob Tomalski) presented the popular mailbox
show. Here is an extract of one of his shows, where the music
definitely came second! |
 |
Another AJ "storm special". This time the programme
features the story of Radio Atlantis - the short-lived Belgian
offshore radio station. |

This is an extract of EMR's French and German programmes. |

Tom Taylor presents part one of the Radio Jackie story. Listener
response to this series was not too good at the time of the original
transmission, so if you would like more of this sort of thing, let
us know! |

EMR off air from 11th
April 2004, featuring a recorded extract of a programme from 12th
December 1976. This extract is from the EMR
page on Simon Mason's
website |

EMR 1978 Jingles. This is a slightly different version from that
aired during our 29th Birthday programme on 24th April 2005. The
only differences are the missing Barry Stephens "S-S-Standby,
Standby" comment, and this version includes references to the
EMR mailing address of the time. |
